Teamwoodcraft’s Olympic Dream

Sorrell and FinnOn the 8th of March 2011 Teamwoodcraft decided to go where they had never gone before (as we often do here!).  We are so excited and delighted to announce our partnership with one of Dressage’s most talented riders Sorrell Klatkzo.  Sorrell and I have both nourished the dream of getting a horse to the Olympics and as Olympics 2012 is so near us, being based in London, we decided to grab the bull by the horns and go for it. (This will come to no surprise to our friends and acquaintances as everyone who knows us realizes how ambitious and determined Sorrell and I are). Sorrell’s contender for the Olympics is dressage star Finn (who knows how gorgeous he is by the way).  What a challenge but a great opportunity for both Sorrell and Teamwoodcraft if we can pull it off! Can 2 outsiders with a massive dream get to the Olympics?

The first hurdle is to convince the accountant of the value of the sponsorship!  After a strong argument and presentation about the Olympic audience and the potential for TWC we finally got his blessing.  In the current climate I wonder if I am mad as cash flow is so tight everywhere but I really believe this is great opportunity for us and I believe in Sorrell and Finn.  We organised the training gear, numnahs etc which are all adorned with our logo at the end of March. Sorrell and Finn both look fantastic and we are so proud to see them in our logo (photos below).  Her beautiful riding complements the brand brilliantly and she is such a gracious ambassador.

The second hurdle is to get Finn qualified so that means lots of extra training (and more work) for Sorrell and lots of extra sponsorship (and more work) from us!  She has been training hard for the past 2 weeks with Jenny Loriston Clarke in Southampton.  This involved a long journey via ferry using her jeep with Finn snuggled up in the Teamwoodcraft horsebox. This is a great opportunity for us to get Teamwoodcraft’s name seen along the highways and byways of England and is the first leg of our advertising onslaught into the UK.  Sorrell is already being asked who is Teamwoodcraft.
