A labour of love…. Ballyfin Demesne

We started work on our all time favourite project to date, Ballyfin Demesne back in 2008.  Ballyfin is a living history of times past and is located in our own County Laois.  It is the ancestral home to the O’Mores, the Crosbys, the Poles, the Wellesley-Poles – the family of the Duke of Wellington – and the Cootes.  In later years it became an all boys boarding school run by the Patrician Brothers.  Work started on Ballyfin in early 2002 and has taken 9 years of research and restoration to bring it to the standard you see today. Teamwoodcraft D.I.Y University (Training from the Masters)

 From little Acorns grow mighty OaksThe team have been having ongoing discussions of late as to what our first Teamwoodcraft University course should be.  Over the years we have had lots of requests for help from D.I.Yers, who have gotten themselves into a bind when hanging architraves, doors, raised garden beds etc.  The movement seems to have really gained momentum now with the massive swing back towards self sufficiency and sustainability. As the requests for help were becoming more and more frequent we decided to launch the Teamwoodcraft D.I.Y University.
